In the mysterious vastness of intersteller space it would be hard to find a life-form less mysterious then the Clangers. On their small blue planet they deal, courteously and sensibly, with the ordinary everyday problems of life - like how to greet an iron chicken when it drops in through the roof, how to grow music from seed, how to fly on a rising scale and how to dispose of a plague of plastic articles.
